Public Works Updates

It seems that 700 Elm Street in Wakefield is a free parking space, but only for those who are in the know about who owns it. The property is currently showing a back property tax delinquency of 5 years. Attempts to track down the owner have been futile, even though the Chief of Police seems to be in contact with him.

Classifieds

Coming soon we will post the new Clay County Marketplace for sellers and buyers.

Crime

All crime can be traced to substance abuse. Alcohol-related crime should be a priority. What if Clay County Kansas was a dry county? The entire justice system seems to revolve around and be supported by poor drunks. Liquor store owners get rich, judges are paid, and law enforcement is kept busy, all by the bottle.

Local Government

Apparently you do not have to pay your property taxes in Clay County Kansas. Several properties are 5 years delinquent with no plans to auction them.

Homelessness

Clay County Kansas seems to be devoid of open homelessness. Currently we have no residents living on the street.
